Founded in 2003 by Nima Sherpa, SummitQuest was born out of a desire to provide ethical, high-safety mountaineering experiences in the Himalayas. Nima, a veteran Sherpa guide with 22 years of climbing experience, wanted to bridge the gap between foreign trekkers and local guiding communities.

Over the years, we expanded beyond Nepal to South America, Africa, and Europe, maintaining the same principles: meticulous preparation, environmental stewardship, and deep cultural immersion.

Expedition-Grade Commitment

We do not run commercial, crowded tours. Our groups are capped at 8 to 12 explorers depending on the route, ensuring customized guidance, lower ecological footprint, and a high summit success rate. Every trek is led by licensed local guides holding Wilderness First Responder (WFR) credentials.
